APT Tour’s Real Okie Championship delayed by rain, begins today at Muskogee Golf Club

Rain postponed the first round of the Muscogee Creek Nation Real Okie Championship on the APT Tour scheduled Wednesday at Muskogee Golf Club. The tournament got underway Thursday morning. Plans now are to play the second round Friday after which the field is cut to low 35 and ties. Those golfers will play 36 holes on Saturday to determine the champion.

The APT Tour is a developmental tour for professional golfers seeking to move on to the Web.com and PGA Tours. The field is laden with talented ex-collegiate players, including many with Oklahoma ties, among them former University of Tulsa golfers Logan McCracken, Chris Worrell and Matt Mabrey, Cameron Meyers of Edmond, Trent Whitekiller of Sallisaw, Josh Creel of Edmond, Dillon Rust of Edmond, Rustin Purser of Edmond and former Oklahoma Sooner Michael Gellerman.
