Benefit tourney raises funds for new High School Golf Coaches Hall of Fame
Six Oklahoma high school golf coaching legends will be inducted into the newly formed Oklahoma High School Golf Coaches Hall of Fame on Oct. 13 following a benefit tournament at The Golf Club of Edmond.
The inaugural class consists of coaches Eddie Cox of Duncan, Jeff Doherty of Edmond North, Ken Posey of El Reno, Bill Roller of Jenks, Steve Ross of Ardmore and the late Ralph Wilson of Cushing. The six will be honored after a benefit scramble beginning at 8 a.m. at Golf Club of Edmond. Teams are being accepted now, cost is $100 per player and entries should be texted or emailed to Tanner Dupree at 580-257-1616 or tanner.dupree@durantisd.org. The first 18 teams will be accepted, and entry includes the Hall of Fame luncheon and award ceremony. Make checks payable to Oklahoma Golf Coaches Association and can be paid the morning of the tournament at the registration table.
