Caamal leads ORU women at BYU; Hasley paces men in Louisiana Classic
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Oral Roberts women’s golf holds in fifth after the first two rounds of the BYU Entrada Classic Monday evening.
The Golden Eagles shot their best round in round two with a 295, 12 strokes better than round one as ORU moved up four spots.
Isabella Caamal leads the team and is tied for ninth in the field. Caamal shot a 147 (+3) on the day with a 71 (-1) in round two. She shot eight birdies on the day with five in round two and is three shots from third place.
Between the two rounds, Sarah Bell shot 10 birdies in 36 holes of golf. Bell shot a 70 (-2) in round two.
– The team finished in fifth place with a 602 (+26) score. ORU is two shots back from third place. Texas Tech has the lead with a 581 (+5) scoresheet.

ORU men in 13th at Louisiana Classic, Hasley in contention
LAFAYETTE, La. – The Oral Roberts men’s golf finished the first two rounds of the 36th Annual Louisiana Classics in 13th Monday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles had a 17-shot difference from round one to round two, shooting even-par 288 in the second round.
Dustin Hasley shot 14 birdies in the first two rounds with seven in each round. In round two, Hasley made  three consecutive birdies on the front nine. He finished tied for fifth in the field at 6-under and is one shot from the lead. Hasley shot a 69 in both rounds.
Jared Strathe finished the day shot 78-70 and is tied for 43rd.
Illinois leads the event at 21-under 555.
