Chaney, Kamas in top five as OCU takes fifth in Jackrabbit Invitational

Oklahoma City University, battling against a field of mostly NCAA Division I teams, finished fifth in the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.

Freshmen Reagan Chaney and Maddi Kamas powered the Stars. Chaney finished tied for second after rounds of 72-72-69 for a 3-under 213. She tied Hester Sicking of South Dakota State and trailed only Anna-Maria Diederichs of Rutgers who finished four shots ahead at 209.

Kamas finished fifth at 215 after rounds of 74-70-71. OCU finished at 878 after shooting event par 288 in the second and third rounds after starting with a 302. The Stars finished 14 shots behind winner Middle Tennessee.

Also for OCU, Natalie Gough and Morgan Palermo tied for 34th at 227 while Paige Wood tied for 45th at 231.
