Cameron Cheek of Owasso fired rounds of 65-66 to scald Lake Hefner North at 13-under for 36 holes and a three-shot victory over Coltrane Mittag of Ashland, Neb., in the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour’s Lake Hefner Fall Round Up concluding Sunday.

On the girls side, Natalie Blonien of Altus shot consecutive rounds of 2-under 70 including an eagle on the par-5 18th hole Sunday to finish at 4-under and edge Emerie Schartz of Wichita by a single stroke.

Cheek made 13 birdies and an eagle to offset two bogeys. His opening 65 was shot on a windy Saturday in which many of the players in the OJGT’s strongest field of the season struggled. Mittag shot consecutive rounds of 5-under 67 to finish two shots ahead of Parker Sands of Edmond (68-68) and Mason Haley of Enid (68-68) who tied for third at 8-under. Chase Hughes of Oklahoma City was another stroke back at 7-under (71-66). Fourteen boys in the field finished under par.

Schartz rebounded from an opening 75 with a second-round 66 to nearly close the gap on Blonien. She finished a shot ahead of Rylee Roberts of Edmond (69-73) and Jaci Hartman of Burneyville (71-71), who tied for third at 2-under. Avery Schartz of Wichita placed fifth at even par (72-72).
