The seventh time was a charm for Harlow Gregory  of Norman, who won the Girls 12-13 age division by 15 points in in Drive, Chip and Putt regional finals qualifying on Sept. 25 at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, Colo.

Gregory, who lives near Belmar Golf Club in Norman, had competed in this event for the past six years and this was her first time to earn a trip to Augusta National to compete in the finals.

“It feels great. This is my seventh year trying this and I finally made it,” she said. “Last year here I was five points off because my chipping wasn’t good. But my chipping was outstanding this time. I worked really hard on it.”

Her total of 160 points was the highest number put up by any competitor in the regional qualifier. She scored 55 points in driving and 60 in chipping to lead both those categories and had a solid 45 in putting.
