Round One Results

NSU’s Ebba Moberg is tied for fourth place after a 72, while Kelsey Lumpin shot 73 and Kennedy Hudson began her career with a 77.

“We had a solid performance by Ebba and Kelsey,” said head coach Scott Varner.  “Kennedy was outstanding in her first ever event in our lineup, she stumbled on 15 and 18, otherwise rock solid.”

“Kennedy clearly did what we asked of her and more coming into the day. I’m really proud of her, she is such a great young lady and stuck around and didn’t quit.  Kennedy has worked hard with us, kept fighting, and does everything right.”

Rounding out the NSU starting five were Lexi Armon (79) and Halie Wright (81).

“It’s going to be very tough for us to make up ten and 12 shots, but it can be done, and is going to require a total team effort.” Varner added.

The RiverHawks will be paired with Southwestern Oklahoma and Augustana on Wednesday for the final round; Northeastern State will start from the front nine at 9:20 a.m.
