KAMUELA, Hawaii – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team will get its spring slate underway this week when it begins play at the 31st annual Amer Ari Intercollegiate at Hapuna Golf Course.

The sixth-ranked Cowboys will be one of 19 teams in action at the par-72, 6,875-yard layout. OSU, which did not tee it up on the Big Island last year, finished fourth two years ago. The 54-hole event will get underway on Thursday with a 7:30 a.m. (HST) start and will run through Saturday with 18 holes being contested each day.

The Cowboys last won the event in 2019 and have captured the tournament title eight times since its inception in 1991.

Individually, Matthew Wolff is the most recent of OSU’s medalists after registering a three-shot win in 2019. He is joined by Jordan Niebrugge, Jonathan Moore, Tyler Leon, current head coach Alan Bratton and Craig Hainline as Cowboys to have emerged victorious at the tournament.

OSU’s starting five will consist of senior Eugenio Chacarra, juniors Brian Stark and Rayhan Thomas, sophomore Jonas Baumgartner and freshman Tiger Christensen. The Cowboys will be grouped with Washington, Pepperdine and Pacific to open play.

Juniors Hazen Newman and Dillon Stewart will compete individually.

Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
