Cowgirls shoot 19-under, place third in ICON Invitational in Houston

HUMBLE, Texas – Oklahoma State women’s golf finished third at the ICON Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, on Tuesday.

The University of Southern California shot 39-under to take the tournament championship, followed by Illinois at 24-under to finish in second. The Cowgirls shot rounds of 285, 283 and 277 to finish 19-under to take third.

All five Cowgirls finished the 54-hole tournament under par and in the top-20.

Han-Hsuan Yu led the Cowgirls and shot 5-under on the week to finish tied for ninth.  Her 211 was the lowest 54-hole score she has carded as a Cowgirl.

Maddison Hinson-Tolchard and Clemence Martin finished 4-under and tied for 11th place. Martin’s 212 54-hole score tied for her lowest score during her time at OSU.

Lianna Bailey and Isabella Fierro finished tied for 16th place at 2-under.

The Cowgirls are set to return to action on March 5 in the Florida Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
