NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State women’s golf returned to Belmar Golf Club on Sunday, claiming the Schooner Fall Classic team championship.

Backed by a combined 16-under par showing in the event’s first two rounds Saturday, the Cowgirls entered the day with a seven-stroke lead over Iowa State.

A 278-stroke (-2) final round led Oklahoma State to a seven-stroke victory at 18-under par. The win marks OSU’s fourth Schooner Fall Classic title (2025, 2021, 2015, 2013) as well as the program’s 105th team win and the first of head coach Annie Young‘s second stint leading the team.

“It was a great win this week,” said Young. “These girls work hard, so it was good to see them earn some success. Hopefully this is the first of many!”

Host Oklahoma placed third at 8-under, a score that would have been higher if freshman Meg Tilma had been in the starting lineup instead of playing as an individual. Tilma shot 8-under herself to tie for third in the tournament.

Tulsa, missing one of its key players in Romaine Massery, finished 10th, led by Jenni Roller’s tie for 17th at 1-under. Oral Roberts finished 14th in the 16-team tournament.

The Pokes fought through rainy conditions all day, shooting even par through 12 holes before officials paused play at 1:35 p.m. CDT. The event resumed after an hour-long lightning delay, with Oklahoma State combining to shoot 2-under par through the final six holes.

A 3-under 31 on the back nine propelled Grace Kilcrease to a 68 (-3) and a third-place finish overall. Kilcrease played all three rounds under par, one of only five golfers to do so, posting an ultra-consistent 67-67-68—202 (-8) scorecard. The senior ended the contest at just one stroke off the individual lead.

Marta Silchenko joined Kilcrease as the fifth and final golfer to shoot below par in each round, pairing a third-round 69 (-1) with two prior 68s (-2) en route to a seventh-place finish. The junior has shot under par in five of six rounds to start the season.

After a stellar Saturday that included the third-lowest round in school history (65), third-year Poke Ellie Bushnell added a 71 (+1) on Sunday. Bushnell finished the tournament at five strokes under par, tied for seventh place alongside fellow Cowgirl Marta Silchenko. The rising star has placed top 10 in each of the first two events of the year.

Tarapath Panya played at even-par in the final round of her season debut (70-73-70—213, +3). A 73 (+3) from Yu-Chu Chen wrapped up the true freshman’s second career collegiate tournament. Summer Lee concluded her weekend of individual competition with a 2-over 72.

The Cowgirls return to action in two weeks at the Prairie Dunes Invitational in Hutchinson, Kansas, Oct. 6-7.

Oklahoma finished third at the 13th annual Schooner Fall Classic on Sunday, highlighted by true freshman Meg Tilma’s record-setting third-place debut and a top-five finish from senior Reagan Chaney.

Tilma’s third-place finish in her collegiate debut saw the Wichita, Kan., product set an OU freshman record with her 202 (-8) score. The mark ranks as the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history. Playing unattached from the lineup, she fired rounds of 67-65-70 to finish one shot behind co-medalists Sydney Givens (Georgia) and Gracie McGovern (TCU).

“Meg was obviously really good this weekend,” head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. “We knew what type of player she was when she came to OU, along with the rest of our freshman class, and for her to show it this week at a solid golf course was really exciting.”

Chaney (T5, -6) signed for rounds of 66-67-71 to notch her seventh career top-10 and first top-five of the season. Her 14 birdies led the Sooners on the week.

True freshman Ellison Lundquist (T13, -2), also playing unattached, opened with back-to-back 68s before closing with a 72 in her collegiate debut.

Earn Thiengsri (T17, -1), OU’s lone freshman in the lineup, recorded a top-20 finish with rounds of 68-69-72. Savannah Barber (T21, E) closed with a 69 to log her 39th career par-or-better round, a mark that ranks top five in program history.

Gracie Mayo (T35, +3) and Isabelle Schlick (T44, +5) rounded out the OU lineup, while Raychel Nelke (T61, +8) and Audrey Rischer (T65, +10) competed unattached.

“I’m really proud of our performance this weekend,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “We had bright spots from everyone, and we still have room to grow. We rallied at the end to finish third and I thought our team’s toughness was good throughout the tournament.”

Oklahoma continues its fall slate Oct. 6-7 when it hosts the OU Intercollegiate presented by PDI at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The venue, ranked as the 25th-best course in the country by Golf Digest in 2025-26, has hosted three U.S. Women’s Amateurs and an NCAA men’s championship but will welcome a women’s collegiate field for the first time.
