Dodgion, SWOSU finish second at Tulsa Cup at Forest Ridge
Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Drew Dodgion shot a final round 72 to finish at 1-under 215, lifting her team into second place in the 19-team Tulsa Cup which concluded Tuesday at Forest Ridge Golf Club in Broken Arrow.
Dodgion finished two shots behind Mia Rallo of Central Missouri, which also won the team title at 873 to 899 for SWOSU.
Also for SWOSU, Megan Brown tied for fifith at 223 after a closing 73, while Freya Sala tied for 15th at 230, Rebecca Lau tied for 23rd at 233 and Ashlyn Acosta tied for 39th at 238.
Rogers State finished 11 shots behind SWOSU in third, led by Marelda Ayal who placed fourth at 219 and Lydia Sitorus who tied for 10th at 225.
Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma tied for fifth place. NSU was led by a tie for 10th by Sam Maceli at 225, while UCO was paced by Estella Castillo in a tie for 15th at 230.
Among other Oklahoma schools, Oklahoma Baptist finished eighth as Morgan Becker placed 12th at 226, Northwestern Oklahoma State was 10th led by Tess Linden in a tie for 29th, Southeastern Oklahoma State placed 12th led by Carley Button in a tie for 25th and Southern Nazarene was tiued for 14th topped by Sara Armstrong in a tie for 36th.
