Eckroat, McGreevy bumped in playoff for U.S. Open spot

Oklahoma State golfer Austin Eckroat and former Oklahoma golfer Max McGreevy of Edmond were among 10 golfers in a playoff for the final spot in a U.S. Open sectional qualifier at Dallas Athletic Club Monday and Tuesday.
Luis Fernando Barco of Peru grabbed the final spot among the 10 players at 4-under who persevered over two days of rainy weather and delays. At least 55 players withdrew before completing their 36 holes as the tournament, which was supposed to be completed Monday, dragged on.
Current OSU players Aman Gupta and Eugenio Lopez Chacarra both finished another shot back at 3-under while Cowboy Bo Jin finished at even par and teammate Brian Stark missed the cut.
