Eckroat vying for second 6A crown, Edmond North opens 11-shot lead

Austin Eckroat won his first Class 6A state championship as a freshman. Now the Oklahoma State signee is in position to bookend his high school career with a second crown, after rounds of 66-68 Monday at The Golf Club of Edmond gave him a 6-under total of 134 and a two-shot lead on teammate Brock Polhill (69-68).

Led by those two, Edmond North opened an 11-shot lead over rival Owasso, which was led by Jared Strathe in a tie for fourth after rounds of 68-73.
