Classmate Ana Ruiz struggled in the first round, shooting a 79 (+7). She holds a piece of 69th place.

“We play solid on the back nine today,” said head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. “We made some big numbers early in the round but kept it going. The conditions were tough but it nothing we’re not used to playing in. We closed strong and should have some confidence going into round two.”
