Sam Fidone of Lufkin, Texas, polished off a 16-under par performance with a 2-under 68 Saturday to win the Real Okie Championship at Muskogee Golf Club on the All Pro Tour.

Fidone won by two shots over Garrett May of Carrollton, Texas, who also finished with a 68.

The top Oklahoma finish in the event was by Hayden Wood of Edmond, who shot 3-under 67 to finish at 10-under and tie for seventh. Wood was able to play early on Friday and then come to Tulsa to watch his father Willie Wood play in the Senior PGA Championship at Southern Hills, one of the few times he’s been able to watch his dad in competition in the last several years as both have busy competitive schedules.

Brendon Jelley of Tulsa, now residing in Arizona, shot 2-under and tied for 21st at 6-under. Sam Stevens of Fort Worth tied for 31st at 3-under and Zach Bauchou of Forest, Va., tied for 42nd at 1-under. Those three and Wood were all teammates at Oklahoma State.

Former Oklahoma Sooner Rylee Reinertsen tied for 27th at 4-under. His OU teammate Blaine Hale of Dallas tied for 38th at 2-under.

The competitors faced a wet course and stiff breezes out of the northeast for their final two rounds.
