MUSKOGEE – The final two rounds of the Bravado Wireless Real Okie Championship will both be contested today after numerous rain delays and wet conditions forced the first two rounds to take three days.
The field of 155 players has been cut to the top 50 and ties. Players will be competing for their share of the $128,000 purse with the first place taking home $25,000 and a paid entry into the Big Money Golf Classic in December. A familiar name sits at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final day of the tournament.
Greg Eason (Leicester City, England) holds the top spot heading into the final day at 10-under par. Eason has carded back to back 65’s (-5) with 14 birdies throughout two rounds, the second most in the tournament thus far. Five players sit in a tie for second at 9-under going into the final day of play. Among the five is Austin Bautista (Clearwater, FL) who has carded the most birdies of the tournament with 16. The lowest round of round 2 came from Sam Fidone (Lufkin, TX) at 7-under par. Fidone made the turn at 4-under and added three more birdies on his back to get to 9-under overall for the tournament. Joining them at 9-under is round one leader Grady Brame Jr., Kyle Pritchard, and Ben Geyer.
Leaders tee off of number one tee at 8:50 a.m. today. Following the third round tee times for the final round will begin at 12:45 p.m. with pairings staying the same as round 3. Following the final round there will be a trophy presentation outside the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m.
Players in contention with Oklahoma ties include former University of Tulsa golfer Logan McCracken of Oklahoma City, Hayden Wood of Edmond and OSU, Blaine Hale of the University of Oklahoma and Brendon Jelley of Tulsa and OSU.
