First Tee of Tulsa charity event slated Oct 12 at Southern Hills

The First Tee of Tulsa Charitable Golf Tournament returns to historic Southern Hills Country Club on Oct. 12. Support the First Tee and its outreach mission to teach the game and life skills at no charge to young boys and girls throughout Tulsa while playing one of the world’s best courses.

Entry fees all come with a sponsorship level ranging from $1,000 to $10k. Golfers will receive tee favors, breakfast or lunch depending on morning or afternoon shotgun, and awards for top teams.

The First Tee of Tulsa was established in 1999 and in the 21 years since has brought the values of honesty, integrity, self-discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship to more than 26.500 children The past 17 tournaments have raised more than $1,695,000 to fund the many programs run by Janice Gibson and her staff. The First Tee headquarters is located at Mohawk Park Golf Curse in Tulsa.

Southern Hills has been the site of seven major championship and will host the 2021 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship next May.
