Fleming, Friday in duel at Yamaha Section Championship at Stillwater CC

Tim Fleming shot a 4-under 66 and Shannon Friday a 3-under 67 to rank 1-2 after the first round of the Yamaha Section Championship Monday at Stillwater Country Club.

Fleming is the director of golf at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club while Friday is the head professional. The36-hole  tournament is for professionals from throughout the PGA South Central Section including Oklahoma, Arkansas and southern Kansas.

Host professional Chris Tidland and Brent Wilcoxen of South Lakes Golf Course in Jenks were the other two golfers in the field to best par in the first round, each shooting 1-under 70. Malachi Murphy of Winter Creek Golf Course in Blanchard is at even-par 70.
