JENKS – FlyingTee is putting the finishing touches on its 2nd Birthday Bash, Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3. The weekend is packed with support for the community, local music, more than 200 prizes, and fun activities for everyone. Media are invited to the official cake cutting at 11:45, Saturday, June 2, with words from the founders, followed by lunch. The cake cutting will also mark the official launch of CommuniTEE. The program brings all of FlyingTee’s efforts to support local organizations under one name.

The first 2nd Birthday Bash CommuniTEE event will take place Friday night. FlyingTee is partnering with Karaoke for a Cause, to support Unity Effects. This newly formed nonprofit seeks to have a positive effect on humanity one story at a time. With support from university media departments, videos will be produced to share and fund a community need online.

“FlyingTee was born out of our combined passions for sports, technology, food, fun and service to others. We want to thank our guests, who’ve helped FlyingTee reach two goals – building a new business and building support for our community. The entire FlyingTee team is committed to providing unique fundraising opportunities, and creating memorable experiences for deserving people.”  John Vollbrecht, FlyingTee CEO

Another CommuniTEE effort will be highlighted Saturday during the cake cutting. FlyingTee was proud to open its climate-controlled hitting bays to Special Olympics Oklahoma golfers through the winter and spring, to provide more practice time for those athletes. FlyingTee offered a chance for guests to share in that support with Hit IT at the Tee, a contest to take aim at a car parked on the green.  The results of that fundraiser will be revealed with a check to Special Olympics Oklahoma.

Also on Saturday, FlyingTee will host a Battle of the Bands. Eight local groups will compete for the chance to win a performance contract with a value up to $6,000. The music will start at 12:15 and run to 7:30, with bands ranging from indie rock to country, including SteelyFace, Florence Rose and The Downbeat and finishing the night off with live beats of DJ Moody from 8:00 pm to midnight.

All guests joining FlyingTee for its 2nd Birthday Bash will be able to enjoy $22 bay play times, select $2 beverage features and food discounts. Check the complete schedule for times to see Got Wood Axe Throwing and Hunter Fischer Racing, and times to sign up to get in the Money Machine and pop birthday balloons for prizes.
