Gellerman just one shot back in Tour qualifier

Michael Gellerman shot a second-round 5-under 67 and is tied for third at the halfway point of a second stage qualifier for the 2017 Tour being held at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.

Gellerman, who played for the University of Oklahoma, is just one-shot behind co-leaders Drew Weaver and Oliver Goss. The top 19 finishers will advance to the final stage of qualifying Dec. 8-11 at Orange County National in Orlando.

 Players with Oklahoma ties currently outside the top 19 include former Sooner Hunter Haas, tied for 22nd at 6 under (66-72); Will Kropp of Edmond, tied for 22nd at 6 under (70-68); Talor Gooch of Midwest City, tied for 31st at 5 under (70-69); Dillon Rust of Edmond, tied for 36th at 4 under (69-71); former Oklahoma State golfer Kevin Dougherty, tied for 43rd at 3 under (75-66); Trent Whitekiller of Sallisaw, tied for 50th at 2 under (68-74) and Cameron Meyers of Edmond, tied for 61st at 1 under (72-71).
