Gregory takes control in WOGA Junior at Belmar
Harlow Gregory shot a 1-under-par 69 on her home course at Belmar Golf Club in Norman Monday to take control of the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association Junior Championship.
Gregory, who made five birdies and four bogeys,fd has a five-shot lead on Gray Gerloff, the promising 13-year-old from Enid, who shot 74. The state’s other phenom barely into her teens, Dia Singh of Bixby, is tied for third at 76 with Lorelia Efaw of Tulsa.
The course got the better of several expected contenders such as Juliana Hong of Norman (79), Megan Kalapura of Tulsa (82) and Maggie Ruby of Stillwater (83).
