Hinson-Tolchard earns spot at Pebble Beach, Roller is second alternate

Oklahoma State’s Madison Hinson-Tolchard, fresh off a fourth-place finish in the NCAA Championship, earned a spot in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open Championship by shooting 8-under in two rounds Thursday at Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.

Hinson-Tolchard shot consecutive rounds of 68 on the par-72 course to earn one of two spots available while the other went to Farah O’Keefe of Austin, Texas at 5-under. Jenni Roller of Jenks and the University of Tulsa earned the second alternate spot by shooting rounds of 71-72 for a 1-under 143.

The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open is scheduled July 6-9 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, Calif.
