Christian Johnson of Oklahoma City shot rounds of 64-69 for a 11-under total of 133 to edge Ben Lathrop of Oklahoma City by two shots and win the Talor Gooch John Conrad Fall Challenge on the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour Sunday

It was the first of the fall events sponsored by professional golfer Talor Gooch’s foundation and appropriately enough on the course on which he grew up playing in Midwest City. Johnson had no problems with the redesigned greens, as John Conrad recently reopened after being closed the past year for a major renovation.

Lathrop shot rounds of 65-70 to take second at 135, three shots ahead of Carter Nutt of Norman (70-68). Collin Bond of Norman (69-70) and Banks Cozby of Tulsa (68-71) tied for fourth at 5-under.

Ivanna Flores of Dora, Fla., shot rounds of 71-76 to win the girls division at 3-over 147. Two shots back was Mimi Hoang of Oklahoma City (68-81). Syrah Javed O Norman was third (75-77), Alie Justi of Arcadia fourth at 153 (76-77) and Julian Hong of Norman (76-78) and Natalie Purvis of Edmond (78-76) tied for fifth at 154.
