Collecting her fourth victory in five events in 2020, prep star Maddi Kamas of Kingfisher prevailed in a three-way playoff with Faith Belmear of Owasso and Michaela Dierinzo of Owasso to win the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association Stroke Play Championship at The Territory in Duncan Tuesday.

Kamas shot a second round of 4-over 76, while Belmear charged into contention with a 1-under 71 and Dierinzo shot even-par 72.

Kamas, who is committed to Oklahoma City University, edged Missouri State golfer Belmear and former University of Tulsa player Dierinzo with a par on the first playoff hole.

Taylor Towers of Owasso and Missouri State shot a second-round 77 to drop from second to fourth at 149, one shot ahead of ShaeBug Scarberry of Purcell and Troy at 150 (74-76), Sydney Hermann of Ponca City and Dalton State shot 72 to move into a sixth-place tie with Natalie Gough (76-75) of Bixby and OCU.

Kamas had earlier won junior events in Texas and on the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour, the stroke play portion of the Oklahoma Junior Championship and finished second in the match play of the same event.

Dierinzo won the Mid-Amateur Championship by six shots over Janet Miller of Tulsa (76-76). Kathy West of Tulsa was third at 153 (75-78) and Oklahoma Golf Hall of Famer Leeann Fairlie fourth at 155 (78-77).
