Kilcrease spurs Tulsa charge into fourth at The Alley

WEST POINT, Miss. –– The Tulsa women golfers finished in fourth place at The Alley on Wednesday with a 54-hole total of 876 at the par 72 Old Waverly Golf Club.

The Hurricane carded a final round 287 to finish the event at 12-over par, finishing behind first-place Florida (863), host Mississippi State (874) and Indiana (875).

Tulsa sophomore Grace Kilcrease turned in her best round of the tournament with a 3-under par 69 for a 1-under par final score of 215 for a season-best fifth place finish. Junior Sydney Seigel shot a final round 1-under 71 and placed 13th overall with a 5-over par 221 total.

Super senior Lilly Thomas placed 17th with a 222 total, while sophomore Jenni Roller finished in 26th place at 224. Redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens scored her best round of the tournament at 1-under 71 and finished in 32nd place at 226.

Junior Lovisa Gunnar, who played the event as an individual, finished in 24th place with a score of 223.

Tulsa has completed its fall season with two top-four performances, finishing first at the Dale McNamara Invitational and fourth place this week. The Hurricane will open the spring season, Feb. 12-14, at the Nexus Collegiate in New Providence, The Bahamas.
