University of Oklahoma golfer Lane Wallace of Yukon continued his strong play this summer by winning a qualifier Thursday for the upcoming U.S. Amateur Championship. Wallace shot a 3-under 141 at Odessa Country Club, bouncing back from an opening 75 with a second-round 66.

Wallace, who has played sparingly at OU, finished second in the OGA Stroke Play Championship earlier this summer.

The U.S. Amateur Championship is Aug. 9-15 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, P.A. Earlier OU coach Ryan Hybl qualified as a second alternate in a Nebraska qualifier while incoming OU freshman finished as the first alternate in a qualifier at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, Texas.

Results of all qualifiers are here.
