Lathrop, Darr win playoffs in OJGT’s Lake Hefner Spring Challenge

Ben Lathrop of Oklahoma City won a playoff with Parker Payne of Norman to prevail in the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour’s Lake Hefner Spring Challenge Sunday on the North Course at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City.

Latrhop shot rounds of 73-71 in strong north breezes for an even-par total of 144 matched by Payne at 74-70. Third place went to Owen Mitchel of Edmond by a shot over Emerson Majma of Edmond.

Lucy Darr of Stillwater shot rounds of 81-74 to tie Rylee Roberts of Edmond (82-73) and Allie Justiz of Arcadia (81-74) at the top of the girls leaderboard and then prevailed in a one-hole playoff. Page Bowman of Springfield, Mo., placed fourth at 158 after rounds of 84-74.
