Lee named MIAA Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State’s Nina Lee claimed the Mid-America Intercollegiate Conference Athletics Association Athlete of the Week in Women’s Golf Wednesday.

The Collinsville native turned in a second-place individual finish at the Central Region Preview this last week, scoring a 150 (76-74), which was the best of all MIAA golfers at the event.  Her score in the second round is tied for the second-lowest this spring for the RiverHawks.

Lee’s consistency on the course led the RiverHawks to a third-place tie at the Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Mo.

In six events this spring, Lee has three top-10 finishes and has a pair of top-5s.

Lee is the second NSU golfer to be honored this spring, with Yasmin Hang being named in late March.
