Liu edges Panos in Women’s Southern Amateur final

Mika Liu of Bradenton, Fla., edged former Oklahoma State golfer Jayde Panos 1 up in the raiin-shortened championship match of the Women’s Southern Amateur Championship at Gaillardia Country Club Friday.

The championship match was scheduled for 36 holes but shortened to 18 holes.

 Taylor Neidy of Clinton, Okla., won the championship flight consolation bracket with an 8 & 7 rout of Chelsea Buford of San Antonio, Texas.
