McAllister shoots up leaderboard in Patriot All-America Invitational

The University of Oklahoma’s Logan McAllister shot a 3-under 67 to move well up the leaderboard into 11th place in The Patriot All-America Invitational at The Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield, Ariz., Wednesday. The final round of the 54-hole event for 84 elite collegiate players is Thursday.

Graysen Huff of Auburn is the 36-hole leader at 5-under par after rounds of 65-70, one shot ahead of Joey Vrzich of Pepperdine at 4-under. McAllister is at even-par after opening with a 73. Complete results are here. 

Five other players with Oklahoma ties are in the field. Mason Overstreet of Kingfisher and the University of Arkansas shot a second-round 68 to move to 3-over and a tie for 30th. Stephen Campbell of OU shot 71 and is tied for 43rd. Patrick Welch of OU and Trevor Norby of Oklahoma Christian are tied for 50th at 6 over. Bradley Wright of Rogers State University and Jared Strathe of Owasso and Oral Roberts University are tied for 79th.
