Milligan is 13th, Upton in 20th in FCA Women’s Championship
Jordy LaBarbera of Allen Texas has a one-shot lead over Erika Smith of Orlando, Fla., heading into the final round of the FCA Women’s Championship on the Women’s All Pro Tour at The Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow.
LaBarbera shot a 2-over 74 in the third round Wednesday and is at 3-under overall, while Smith shot a 3-under 69 to move to 2 under.
Stacy Upton of Broken Arrow, the former LPGA veteran playing competitive golf for the first time in nine years, closed within four shots of the lead on the front nine, but shot 40 on the back nine and fell back to 20th place at 7 over after her third-round 77. She entered the event to give son Ryp, 10 and a golf enthusiast, a chance to see her play a competitive event and she’s doing quite well for someone who has seldom played golf in nine years.
Former University of Oklahoma player Kaitlin Milligan of Goldsby is tied for 13th at 5 over after a 73.
