New Clear Creek fleet managers eager to explore state, meet Oklahoma pros
By Ken MacLeod
With the recent sale of Justice Golf Car to Clear Creek, pro shops throughout Oklahoma used to seeing the familiar face of former fleet manager Shawn Anderson calling on them for the past two decades will have one of two new managers who will be covering Oklahoma.
New to Oklahoma but not to Club Car are Bernie Jorgensen and Daily Young. Jorgensen, 57, has sold Club Car in upstate New York for 33 years. He took the job with Clear Creek in April and moved to Shawnee where his younger brother lives. Two days after purchasing a house he got a call from his realtor telling him his house was all right, meaning it had survived the tornado that devastated houses as close as two blocks away on April 19. Welcome to Oklahoma.
Jorgensen’s territory will include all of the state west of Highway 69. Young, 33, a former assistant professional at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark., will cover the eastern strip from Shangri-La down to Broken Bow. Anderson is now president of Oklahoma operations but Jorgensen and Young will handle most of the fleet sales.

Young, whose territory also includes most of Arkansas, is looking forward to meeting Oklahoma pros and reconnecting with some. Tim Johnson, general manager at Golf Club of Oklahoma, held the same position at Pinnacle before returning to Oklahoma and has been a source of industry and career guidance.
“Tim is one of the great ones in the industry, someone who is a work-a-holic and been a great sounding board for me as I went from being as assistant pro to this opportunity,” Young said.
Jorgensen has already ventured to Frederick, Lawton, Edmond, Guthrie and other Oklahoma cities and towns and finds negotiating the state not all that different from his previous territory.
“Upstate New York as you get close to Canada is really a lot like this, where the houses are sometimes few and far between,” he said. “Once you get above the Adirondacks it’s pretty similar.”

Jorgensen has known Anderson and former Justice CEO Chip Cutler for many years and also Clear Creek CEO Brian Cheever, making the transition smooth.
“We are assembling a special team in Oklahoma,” Anderson said. “Bernie brings a lot of experience. Before joining us this month, he worked at a Club Car distributor in New York for 33 years, where he received a ton of accolades for his ability to provide his territory with outstanding service. Daily started with Clear Creek in August of 2021. He was a well-known member of the South Central Section PGA before regaining his amateur status, lives in Rogers, Arkansas, and is the perfect geographic fit for the courses in eastern Oklahoma. We are in excellent hands!”
