Only a few players with Oklahoma ties survived the second stage of qualifying for the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour and will advance to the final stage Dec. 12-15 in Winter Garden, Fla. The top 40 players and ties in that event will earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2020.

Former Oklahoma State All-American Jordan Niebrugge tied for first in a qualifier in Murrieta, Calif., shooting 17-under to tie Brandon Wu. Brendon Jelley of Tulsa and OSU shot 6-over and tied for 45th, missing the cut to advance. Jelley opened with a 69 but was undone by a third-round 80.

Blake Trimble of Oak Tree National survived a second-stage event in Dothan, Ala., shooting 4-under to finish tied for 15th. Missing the cut by a single shot there was former University of Oklahoma golfer Blaine Hale at 3-under. Farther back were Will Kropp of Edmond, tied for 28th at 1-under, and Trent Whitekiller of Sallisaw, in 68th.

Veteran Tag Ridings, who grew up in Tulsa, tied for 14th in the second-stage event in McKinney, Texas, to advance. Not making it out of that event were former OSU golfer Zach Bauchou (t-35), Cody Troutman of Edmond (t-52) and Logan McCracken of Oklahoma City (t-57).
