OC Eagles earn return to NCAA D-II National Championship
Rohnert Park, Cali. – Oklahoma Christian rallied to finish fourth in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional and earn a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship scheduled May 22-26 in Warren, Ohio.
The Eagles were in seventh place in the regional, held at Foxtail Golf Club, before a late surge lifted the team into fourth place and earned a return trip to the championship.
Oskari Niku birdied two of his final three holes and shot a 2-under 70. Mateo Pulcini birdied the 16th hole en route to a 71. Alejandro Armijo made steady pars on the final three holes.
The No. 6 Eagles finished with a team score of 871, just four shots behind winner Sonoma State. Nikku finished tied for 11th at 1-under and Pulcini tied for 13th at even par.
