OCU moves up to 11th in NAIA National Championship
MESA, Ariz. – Oklahoma City University moved up the team leaderboard in the NAIA men’s golf championships Wednesday at Las Sendas Golf Club.
Tenth-ranked Oklahoma City climbed into a tie for 11th on the team standings. Leandro Mihaich of the Stars moved into the top 20 individually.
The Stars have turned in a 302-295–597 on the par-72, 7,004-yard course. Mihaich, a freshman from Cordoba, Argentina, majoring in marketing, has produced a 74-72–146. Mihaich completed the front nine with a 1-under-par score after burying an eagle on the par-5, 534-yard sixth hole. Mihaich sank three birdies Wednesday.
Dylan Teeter shot a 73-74–147, good for a tie for 29th. Teeter, a sophomore from Bixby, Okla., studying accounting, had three birdies in the second round.
OCU’s Tres Hill came up with a 79-71–150. Hill, a sophomore finance major from Elk City, Okla., nailed four birdies on the day. He stood a shot under par through nine holes.
Alex Bloxham, a freshman business administration major from Broken Arrow, Okla., recorded a 76-78–154. Will Fore had an 88-99–187.
The third round of the NAIA Championships tee off 7 a.m. MST (9 a.m. CDT) Thursday.
