OC Eagles win UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines
Oklahoma Christian golfers took three of the top seven spots as the school won the UC San Diego Invitational against mostly NCAA Division I teams on the North Course at Torrey Pines Tuesday.
OC shot rounds of 280-276-276 to finish at 832, two shots clear of Seattle University.
Exequiel Rodriguez led the Eagles and finished third individually at 11-under 205 on the par-72 course after rounds of 70-70-65. Alejandro Armijo was tied for fourth at 9-under 207 (69-68-70) while Santiago Villareal tied for seventh at 208 (71-68-69).
Mateo Pulcini finished T25 with a total score of 213 (-3, 70,71,72), and Oskari Nikkurounded out the Eagles’ top five at T58 (+3) with a low round of 70.
The Eagles will head to Pensacola, Florida, April 3rd-4th for the Argonaut Invitational hosted by West Florida.
