Rogers State’s Robles wins NSIC Preview, leads Hillcats to second
BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Daniel Robles won the individual title to lead Rogers State to second place in the NSIC Preview Invitational on Tuesday at Adams Pointe Golf Club. The Hillcats finished four shots behind Central Missouri, shooting rounds of 287-297 to finish at 8-over 584.
Robles won the individual title, starting with a 5-under 67 and adding a 1-under 71 for a 6-under 138 total. The sophomore sank nine total birdies and an eagle in tournament, with three birdies in the final round.
Tyler Collier finished in a five tie for fifth at 146 (71-75). Elliot-Han Monteremal finished in a tie for 15th with a 148. Ty Nicar finished in a large group of 11 tied at 25th with a 152. Jack Roche rounded out the squad in a group of eight tied at 43rd at 154.
Playing as an individual, Tyler Cornwell finished in a three-way tie for 19th after shooting 150.
The Hillcats will close out the regular season on Monday, April 3 as they travel to Warrensburg, Mo. to compete in The Mule at Mules National Golf Club.
