OCU 13 shots back in Daytona Beach tourney
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Oklahoma City University sits in fourth after one round of the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational Monday at the LGPA International Jones Course.
Anna Mikish, a sophomore from Choctaw, leads the Stars while shooting even par and tied for third. OCU, ranked fourth in NAIA women’s golf, rests 13 strokes behind No. 3 SCAD Savannah (Ga.) while shooting 309 on the par-73, 6,076 yard course.
The Stars are also behind No. 1 ranked Northwood (Fla.) and 14th-ranked Texas Wesleyan.
Emma Allen, a freshman from Tulsa, shot 77 and is tied for 16th, while Caroline Goodin, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, and Katie-Lee Wilson, a sophomore from Owasso, both turned in 79. Wilson played as an individual.
Kailey Campbell, a sophomore from Oktaha, shot an 80 and Claudia Cehmin, a freshman from Maisons-Alfort, France, shot 81.
The find round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
