OCU cruises in Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, Wood-Kamas finish 1-2

Susie Maxwell Berning Final Results

Host Oklahoma City University cruised to a 19-shot victory over Texas Wesleyan while the OCU B Team finished fourth in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic Tuesday at Lincoln Park in Oklahoma City.

Paige Wood finished first followed by Stars teammate Maddie Kamas. Wood fired a 4-under 67 Tuesday to finish at 2-under 140, while Kamas fired off a 2-under 69 to finish at 1-under 141. Also in the top five was MaKayla Tyrrell with rounds of 71-73 to finish tied for fifth at 144. Logan Allen tied for 14th at 150 and Natalie Gough was 16th at 151.

Leading the B Team and finishing tied for third overall was Jamie Welsh at 143 (71-72). Meghan Charles was sevent at 145 (71-74) and Aubrey House tied for eighth at 146 (74-72).

Redlands Community College tied for fourth in the tournament, shooting rounds of 305-301. Clara Peak tied for fifth around rounds of 74-70 and Drew Faires came in 13th at 149 (72-77).
