OCU leads NAIA Preview at LPGA International

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Oklahoma City University staked its claim to a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the NAIA Preview at LPGA International.

The Stars, ranked No. 1 in the Golf World NAIA men’s golf poll, carded 291-289—580 and grabbed a one-stroke advantage over Southeastern (Fla.) and a four-shot lead over Webber International (Fla.).

Sophomore Anthony Marchesani, 71-73—144, and senior James Marchesani, 74-70—144, each earned a share of sixth place after two rounds. Southeastern’s J.D. Cobb led the field after two rounds with 70-67—137.

The Stars will return to action in the third and final round of the NAIA Preview Tuesday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
