OSU, Stark win Mountain View Collegiate, Tulsa finishes 10th

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oklahoma State women’s golf team brought home the individual and team titles this weekend at the Mountain View Collegiate, the second time they’ve done so this season. The University of Tulsa finished 10th.

Stark notched her second first place finish of the spring season with an impressive 11-under 205 and led the field with 12 birdies. Her 205 was tied for the second lowest in tournament history. The win marks the third individual title of her career. Stark becomes the 4th player in school history to earn 3 or more career wins.

The Cowgirls notched an 844, tying the record for the second-lowest 54-hole score in school history. Their team score was the second lowest in tournament history and their third-round score of 278 tied for the third lowest in tournament history.

The team victory marks second-year head coach Greg Robertson’s third at OSU and 30th of his coaching career. OSU has won 95 team events in program history.

Rina Tatematsu continues to have a standout freshman season and finished tied for 7th place carding rounds of 67-71-75(-3) with nine birdies.

Han-Hsuan Yu and Lianna Bailey both recorded impressive third rounds and finished at 1-over and 2-over respectively. Isabella Fierro rounded things out for the Cowgirls and finished in 22nd place at 3-over 219.

The Cowgirls will return to action at The Bruzzy on March 28 at the Lantana Golf Course in Argyle, Texas.

Tulsa finished in 10th place with a 54-hole total of 898. The Golden Hurricane carded a final round 303.

Tulsa’s Lorena Tseng finished in 15th place with a three-round score of even-par score of 216 after turning in a final round 73 on Sunday. Lilly Thomas and Taylor Dobson each shot rounds of 74 on the final day. Thomas finished in 23rd place overall with a total score of 220, while Dobson had a 223 score for 36th place.

Haley Greb finished in 67th place and Titita Loudtragulngam placed 68th overall.

Tulsa will be in action next at the Houston Oaks Women’s Invitational, April 12-13.
