Phillips, Birchell, Davis lead qualifiers for OGA State Amateur

Luke Phillips of Edmond and Brian Birchell of Oklahoma City each shot 4-under 68 at Bailey Ranch Golf Course Thursday to lead a qualifier for the upcoming Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship.

On Tuesday at Lincoln Park, Ian Davis of Oklahoma City shot 7-under 64 while Jordan Wilson of Edmond and William McDonald of Oklahoma City shot 65 to lead the Western qualifier.

The field of 64 is now set for the OGA State Amateur July 25-27 at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, with Tres Hill of Elk City as the defending champion. There were 38 spots available at Lincoln Park and 25 at Bailey Ranch.
