Register now for Scott Carter’s Heroes Golf Classic

The Scott Carter’s Heroes Golf Classic, a benefit for Children’s Cancer Research, is scheduled Sept. 12 at The Club at Indian Springs, with a dinner and gala on Aug. 27 at Southern Hills Country Club.

Some playing spots and dinner spots remain for the annual event, which began in 1993 as the wish of Scott Carter, a 13-year-old boy and son of Oral Roberts University Athletic Director Mike Carter, who battled cancer bravely for three years. In the 28 years since Scott passed the event has raised more than $4 million for cancer research.

A foursome in the event is $1,200 and dinner tickets start at $150 each. All sponsorships and entry information is available here.
