Rogers State leads in Hardscrabble Invitational
FORT SMITH, Ark. – Rogers State men’s golf are the leaders in the clubhouse after the first day of the Hardscrabble Invitational on Monday.
After 36 holes at the Par 70, 6,783 yard Hardscrabble Country Club, the Hillcats lead the field after turning in a card of 572 (+12).
Luke Palmowski leads the field as an individual after shooting 134 (-6) on the day, eight strokes ahead of second place. In the two rounds, the senior sank eight birdies and an eagle as well as scoring the low round of the day with a 64 in the first 18 holes.
Gonzalo Chaves sits in a three-way tie for third with a card of 144 (+4). Aidan Gavey and Ty Nicar are right behind in a three-way tie for sixth with both turning in performances of 147 (+7). Daniel Robles rounds out the squad in a group of six tied at 21st after shooting 152 (+12).
Playing as an individual, Bradley Wright sits in a group of six tied at 50th with a 161 (+21).
RSU will wrap up play in the tournament tomorrow with the final round set to tee off in a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
