Rogers State sweeps titles at Hillcat Classic at Bailey Ranch

OWASSO, Okla. – Lydia Sitorus won the individual title to lead Rogers State to its fourth consecutive Hillcat Classic title at Bailey Ranch Golf Course in Owasso Tuesday.

After 36 holes at the par 72, 5,892 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats finished at 614 (+38), two strokes ahead of second place Cameron.

Lydia Sitorus won the individual title after shooting 150 (+6) over the two rounds. Marelda Ayal finished two strokes behind in a tie for second with a card of 152 (+8). Lauren Anderson finished in a three-way tie for fifth with a 154 (+10). Brianna Maddux finished in 11th with a 160 (+16). Jessica Osden finished in a five-way tie for 13th with a 162 (+18). Kristin Gudmundsdottir rounded out the group in a four-way tie for 18th with a 164 (+20).

For second-place Cameron, Ashley Davis finished in fourth place at 153 (78-75), while Maria Jose Savoca and Emma Englefield tied for fifth at 154.

The Hillcats are back in action on Monday, March 18 as they travel to Bolivar, Mo. to compete in the Midwest Intercollegiate at Silo Ridge Country Club, hosted by Drury.

OWASSO, Okla. – Led by a second-place finish from Ty Nicar, Rogers State men’s golf captured its third-straight Hillcat Classic.¬†After three rounds at the par 72, 6,705 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats won the tournament with a card of 859 (-5), the only team to finish below par.

The Hillcats finished 18 shots clear of Arkansas Tech while Northwestern Oklahoma State placed third at 894.

Nicar led the way for RSU with a second place finish after shooting 2-under 214 (71-70-73) over the 54 holes. He finished four shots behind medalist Jackson Cole of Arkansas Tech (70-68-72). Nicar  finished with 12 birdies over three rounds.

Thomas Barnes Grimes finished in third for RSU with a card of 217 (+1). Both Daniel Robles Delval and Elliot-Han Monteremal were one stroke behind in a tie for fourth with cards of 218 (+2). Julian Alanis finished in a tie for sixth with a 219 (+3). Kaden Armstrongrounded out the group in 13th after shooting 223 (+7).

The Hillcats are back in action on Monday, March 25 as they travel to El Dorado, Ark. to compete in the Arkansas Collegiate at Mystic Creek Golf Club, hosted by Southern Arkansas.
