Rogers State’s Palmowski, Ayal named MIAA Golfers of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Luke Palmowski has been named the MIAA Men’s Golfer of the Week for the second-straight week, the league announced on Wednesday.
The Rotherham, England native led the Hillcats to their fifth-straight tournament win at the Hillcat Classic this week capturing the team and individual titles. In three rounds, the senior won the tournament shooting 210 (-6), and two strokes ahead of second place. Palmowski sank 17 birdies in the 54 holes and shot a low round of 69 in the final round.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 21 as they travel to El Dorado, Ark. to compete in the Arkansas Collegiate, hosted by Southern Arkansas as the Mystic Creek Golf Club.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sophomore Marelda Ayal has been named the MIAA Women’s Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
The Jakarta, Indonesia native won her first collegiate tournament at the Hillcat Classic leading the Hillcats to their second team win of the spring season. Ayal won the individual title after shooting 152 for eight over par and won a three-way playoff against teammate Raquel Flores and Missouri Western’s Allycia Gan.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 28 as they travel to St. Joseph, Mo. to compete in the 2022 Holiday Inn Express Invitational, hosted by Missouri Western at the St. Joseph Country Club.
