Scarberry, Milligan advance to U.S. Women’s Amateur
ShaeLee Scarberry of Purcell shot a 2-under 70 to share the top spot at a qualifier for the 2019 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship Monday at Timarron Country Club in Dallas.
Kaitlin Milligan of Norman shot even-par 72 and was one of the seven golfers to advance to the U.S. Women’s Amateur scheduled Aug. 5-11 at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss. Milligan’s University of Oklahoma teammate Sydney Youngblood of Durant shot a 1-over 73 and is the second alternate.
Scarberry played her freshman season at the University of Tulsa and has since transferred to Troy.
