While it wasn’t a great week on the Korn Ferry Tour for most of the players with Oklahoma ties, former Oklahoma Sooner Logan McAllister of Oklahoma City registered a solid tie for 10th at 10-under that will serve him well in getting more starts as the season goes on.

Ben Silverman, who got in on a sponsor’s exemption, won The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at 15-under. Former Oklahoma State golfer Kris Ventura tied for 46th while Quade Cummins, Grant Hirschman, Bo Van Pelt, Rhein Gibson, Kevin Dougherty and Chris Gotterup missed the cut.

On the PGA Tour this week, keep an eye on former Oklahoma State golfer and Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour regular Sam Stevens of Wichita, who shot 6-under 66 on the difficult South Course at Torrey Pines Wednesday and was tied for fifth in the Farmers Insurance Classic entering today’s second round. Also trying to make the cut today are Robert Streb (2-under on North Course), Austin Eckroat (1-under on SC), Kevin Tway (even on SC), Taylor Moore (even on SC) and current Oklahoma golfer Patrick Welch (1-over on SC).
