Rising NAIA power Southwestern Christian University, located in Bethany, finished its fall slate by taking second among 15 teams in the Memphis Shootout at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn, Phillip Pakosch, a transfer from Oral Roberts, led the Eagles with his first collegiate victory, shooting rounds of 72-68-70 for a 3-under total on the par-71 venue.

Also in the top 10 were Saxon Ross, finishing tied for fifth at 1-over (69-73-72) and Gus Fritz, tied for ninth at 6-over (72-73-74). Grant Ferreira, a transfer from Ranger College, tied for 18 (75-76-72).

The Eagles, currently ranked No. 15 in the NAIA poll, finished second to No. 8 Lindsey Wilson by nine strokes. Southwestern Christian has moved up to No. 9 in the Golfstat rankings.
