Stoller, Schartz snare titles in OJGT’s Best of the West Classic

Ben Stoller of Owasso reeled off rounds of 64-69 for a 9-under total of 133 and a three-shot victory in the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour’s Best of the West Classic held Saturday-Sunday on the West Course at Lincoln Park in Oklahoma City.

Stoller, a Kansas State commit, held off Alex Bloxham of Broken Arrow, who opened with an 8-under 63 and shot 73 Sunday to finish at 136. Conner Cryer of Tipton took third at 137 (69-68), followed by Asher Whitaker of Wichita at 138 (70-68) and Grant Gudgel of Stillwater at 139 (71-68).

Emerie Schartz of Derby, Kan., won the girls division at 144 after rounds of 71-73, prevailing by five shots over Jaiden Gregston of Duncan (76-73). Brooklyn Benn of Edmond was third at 151 (76-75), followed by Juliana Hong of Norman (73-79) at 152 and MaKaylee Cowan of Yukon (76-77) at 153.
